One Passion... Great Coffee.

Park Avenue Coffee Proudly serves Chauvin Coffee. Chauvin coffee is a St. Louis Family Owned business operated by Four Generations of the Charleville Family.

Chauvin Coffee specializes in a unique roasting process, blending and flavoring only the finest coffees from around the world. With almost 70 years of tradition in the coffee industry, we are able to provide you with the finest and freshest coffees. We utilize our vast experience coupled with state of the art technology to give you the highest quality of coffee -- quality you deserve. Coffees are described by their unique characteristics of acidity, body, aroma, finish and flavor: Acidity is the sharpness, almost a dryness, like some white wines. Body is the heaviness or richness. “Body” can be compared to the characteristics of certain red wines. Aroma is the fragrance, an important quality, since you smell the aroma before you actually taste the coffee. Aroma can range from acidic or sharp, through spicy and sweet, to earthy or musty or smoky. Finish is the aftertaste coffee leaves in your mouth. Finish can be sweet and pleasant, bitter or, if the coffee is extremely light, it may have no aftertaste. Espresso should have a finish that lingers after the drink has been consumed. And flavor, the taste, the most difficult characteristic to describe, because it will vary with each individual. Since coffee will take on the characteristics of the soil in which it is grown, it will hint of other plants, fruits or spices grown in the same region, such as chocolate, vanilla and others. Flavor will greatly distinguish one origin from another.

We offer 23 Origins of Coffees. These coffees encompass an acidity that ranges from low to high. Our high grown coffees have the quality of superior flavor, aroma, and body.

Our Six “Certified Organic” coffees are: Guatemalan Organic, Costa Rican Organic, Mexican Organic, and Peruvian Organic. These coffees must be farmed without the use of chemical additives or pesticides for a period of three years in order to be certified organic. Not only do organically grown coffees protect the environment and the delicate eco-systems of the producing countries, it also protects the health of the indigenous people and wildlife.

Our Espresso Beans - a blend of five different Arabica coffees roasted to a dark roast, for superb espresso based drinks.
